Belfast Giants and Agnew Škoda Drive Into a Greener 2026/27 Season
A renewed official vehicle partnership brings all-electric Škoda SUVs, bold Giants branding, and a shared commitment to sustainability on and off the ice.
As anticipation builds for another high-energy season at The O2 Belfast, the Belfast Giants are preparing to make an impact beyond the rink. The club has confirmed Agnew Škoda as its official vehicle partner for the 2026/27 season, renewing a relationship that blends elite sport, local business, and a clear move towards more sustainable travel.
Now entering its third campaign, the partnership will see players and coaches take to the roads in a fleet of all-electric Škoda Elroq and Enyaq SUVs, each wrapped in unmistakable Belfast Giants branding. For fans, the vehicles will be a visible reminder of the club’s growing presence across the city; for the organisation, they represent another practical step in its ongoing sustainability journey.
The renewal follows a recent multi-million-pound refurbishment of Agnew Belfast’s Boucher Road and Mallusk dealerships, underlining the company’s investment in the Greater Belfast region. With Škoda’s electric range continuing to expand, the collaboration arrives at a moment when more drivers are considering the shift to EVs and looking for vehicles that combine practicality, comfort, and everyday usability.
For the Giants, the partnership is about more than transport. It reflects a wider alignment between two brands with strong local recognition, ambitious plans, and a shared understanding of what it means to connect with communities.
Steve Thornton, Sports Director of The Odyssey Trust, said:
“We are immensely proud to continue and grow our partnership with the Agnew Group for another season. During our time working together, the relationship has gone from strength to strength, and we’re incredibly appreciative of Agnew’s ongoing belief and support. This partnership means that we’re able to offer players and coaches access to cutting-edge SUVs, while also promoting more sustainable transport and showcasing Agnew Škoda’s truly world-class range of vehicles.”
The announcement also carries a natural sporting connection. Škoda and ice hockey have enjoyed an association spanning more than 30 years, making the brand’s presence around the Giants feel both timely and authentic. During the 2026/27 season, Agnew Škoda will continue to sponsor key figures across the playing and coaching group, including Adam Keefe, David Goodwin, and Jackson Whistle.
Supporters will also see Agnew Škoda’s logo featured on players’ shorts and on rink boards at The O2 Belfast, ensuring the partnership remains visible throughout game nights. From the first puck drop to the final buzzer, the collaboration will form part of the matchday backdrop as the Giants pursue another successful season.
For Agnew Škoda Belfast and Mallusk, the partnership provides a platform to introduce the region to the brand’s latest generation of electric SUVs, including the compact Elroq and the larger Enyaq. Both models sit at the heart of Škoda’s all-electric line-up and offer the kind of space, technology, and range expected by modern drivers.
Sydney Pentland, Franchise Director of Agnew Škoda Belfast and Mallusk, commented:
“We’re delighted to support the Belfast Giants for the forthcoming season and provide the team with a range of all-electric Škoda Elroq and Enyaq – our stylish and spacious SUVs. With the Škoda brand’s heritage in ice hockey across Europe, this alignment fits perfectly with Agnew Škoda Belfast and Mallusk as the new representation for Škoda in the Greater Belfast region.”
That growing electric story is set to continue. Agnew Škoda has further launches planned during the season as the brand expands its EV family, with the Peaq and Epiq expected to add fresh momentum to the range. For Giants fans, that means the partnership is likely to remain visible not only around the arena, but also in future showcases, activations, and community moments across the campaign.
“We look forward to sharing these with Giants fans in the future and hope to have another successful season, on and off the ice,” Pentland added.
As the countdown to the new season continues, the renewed partnership sends a clear message: the Belfast Giants are looking ahead with ambition, while Agnew Škoda is helping to power that journey in a cleaner, smarter, and unmistakably branded way.
