The BMW M3 is a high-performance version of the 3 series range, developed by BMW’s in-house motorsport division. M3 models have been derived from the E30, E36, E46 and E90/E92/E93 3-series, and sold with various body styles including coupe and convertible.
Upgrades over the “standard” 3-Series models include more powerful and responsive engines, improved handling/suspension/braking systems, aerodynamic body enhancements, and interior/exterior enhancements.
The E46 M3, first introduced in October 2000, appeared worldwide with the new 3.2 litre M-tuned engine. At the time of the car”s introduction, this engine had the highest power output to date for BMW’s production cars, producing 343 horsepower and 269 lb·ft.

Owner Seamy is renowned in the North Down area for buying sporty and classy motors and this is yet another credit to his portfolio of fine automobiles. Saying that, Seamy’s vertically challenged posture, made it somewhat complicated to jump in for a test drive.
On getting the seat far enough back though the comfort and ease of access to everything was very welcoming and then on a run up the road I was highly impressed with the way the car drives.
Then on an open section of road I got to rev the six cylinder engine to its limits and when up the revs these things are like a screaming banshee, and rightly so as it covers ground that quick with perfect grip the banshee may well think someone is about to die.
