For some time now, you will have noticed that several car reviews end up in the grounds of Clandeboye Estate for imagery, while many of the four-wheel drive vehicles find themselves on the forest tracks and undulating hills of the estate’s off-road driving course.
Walter Corr is the driving force behind Ireland Offroad Experience which offers unforgettable and memorable driving experiences to the private and corporate sectors alike. Set up some 15 years ago within the historic estate of the Marchioness of Dufferin and Ava, Clandeboye is situated on the edge of Bangor and undoubtedly provides one of the most picturesque experiences on the Emerald Isle.
At its inception, the purpose built course was part of a Land Rover franchise and operated as the Land Rover Experience Northern Ireland. However, around the time Tata Motors took ownership of Land Rover, the partnership with the Estate faded. So for Clandeboye Estate, there was only one thing for it…
With such a fantastic course already built, Walter was able to stay on site at Clandeboye and continue with what he knew best: instruct drivers on the skills of driving off-road and push Ireland Offroad Experience’s Land Rover Defender 110 and Land Rover Discovery 3 to their limits.
We cannot thank Walter enough for his time and the use of the facilities, which enables us to give a much more honest review of vehicles built for such usage. If you fancy having a go, it is very affordable with a three hour experience coming in at £160 for three people.
That is three hours of non-stop driving, non-stop craic and unforgettable memories for just over £50 per person. There isn’t much more I can say that the images and epic video we have created can’t portray so sit back with a cuppa and enjoy several views of what is on offer.
