At the Isuzu Dealer of the Year Awards in Belfast, Northern Ireland’s specialist dealers featured heavily in a glittering International Awards evening hosted by Isuzu senior management and UK Operations Director, Paul Hegarty.
“We have been delighted with the performance of our NI dealers” said Hegarty “And the Isuzu D-max has been the top selling pick-up in Northern Ireland virtually the whole year. With class-leading 3.5 tonnes towing and a 125,000 mls/5 year warranty alongside superb residual values it’s not hard to see how it has become the farmers’ favourite but also the Business users’ darling – with UFU Affinity available from every NI Specialist dealer and class-leading Contract Hire rates, it’s a real winner whichever way you look at it.
“We are delighted to recognise some outstanding performances from our dealers here – sales are up over 400% in just 3 years, and no-one has lead the charge better than our 2016 Isuzu Dealer of the Year, John Barr Cars in Crumlin. Exemplary sales performance, superb facilities, and a “can do “ team completes the winning line-up. Well done John.”
“Winner of the Fleet category – which recognises outstanding business to business sales and service, goes to Eakin Bros in Claudy. As one of our approved Fleet Centres they have committed to excellence in sales, and after-sales – and all our new fleet customer feedback indicates what an excellent job they have delivered. Well done Peter and the team.”
“Most Improved dealer is Wilsons of Rathkenny” said Hegarty “They have applied themselves really well in 2016 and driven our mutual business forward at a rate we would not have believed possible just 18 months ago, all credit to Michael Turtle and his team in Ballymena.”
“And last but far from least, our After-sales Dealer of the Year is Gormley Motors in Dungannon” announced Hegarty “Our competitors measure success by the number of complaints each dealer receives – at Isuzu we count letters of praise and in Gormleys there is no doubt we have a dealership which excels in customer care. Well done Edward Kyle, Noel Gormley, and the team in Dungannon.”
