Dealer Profile: Hollybrook Sports Cars

In this blog post our resident reporter Graham Curry went to Hollybrook Sports Cars (based just outside the quiet village of Glenavy, about 10 mins from the international airport) and asked Louise & Trevor to give us a insight into their dealership.

How long have you been in business?

Hollybrook Sports Cars Ltd have been trading since April 2008. Trevor has been involved in the motor trade for almost 30 years, both through car sales, specialist detailing and more recently with sales of Nugent Trailers.

How many staff do you have across your business? 

The majority of our staff have been with us for a number of years now.  We have a total of 6 members of staff working within Hollybrook Car Sales, Hollybrook Trailer sales and Hollybrook Detailing. Matt has worked alongside Trevor for 11 years, and Graham for 13 years.

Generally how many cars do you have on site?

We aim to have up to 40 cars in stock.

Do you specialise in a particular type of car?

We specialise in sports and performance models from all marques and more recently we are stocking various iconic classic cars.

Do you offer any other car services?

We offer a detailing service to the public. Each car we have in stock will carefully follow up to a 3 day meticulous preparation and detailing process. We also offer full UK comprehensive warranty with our cars, finance packages to suit individual needs. We also provide the services to source your next car and sell your car on your behalf.

What’s your most expensive car? 

Currently a beautiful low mileage manual Ferrari 360 Modena.

What’s the most special car you have ever sold?

A very rare (1 of 6 Uk examples) and collectable 1986 Audi Quattro SWB.

What’s your best tip for someone looking for a car at the moment? 

Come in and see us! “The day you buy is essentially the day you sell” so don’t compromise on standards. Its always worth stretching your budget to what you can, to get something that little bit better i.e. good condition, low mileage etc and always have a car checked over before purchase.

What would be your dream car and why?

Trevor has been a life long fan of TVR and is eagerly waiting on the new TVR models to be launched in 2017. If money wasn’t an option Matt would have a Ferrari 250 GTO. They’re beautiful, have race proven heritage and were built purely out of a love for racing. 

What is your favourite car movie?

For Trevor it has to be Swordfish and Matt always enjoys the car chase in Ronin.

What do you like to do when you’re not at work? 

Work can be a busy environment so free time is a great opportunity to switch off. Both Trevor and Matt like to spend time with their wives and close friends and enjoy forest walks and eating out. On a Sunday we both attend our church worship centered around God’s Word. 

What is the key to your success? 

Hollybrook is based on both Trevor and Matt’s personal values of honesty and integrity.  One of our key principles is to treat people the way we ourselves would like to be treated; to do everything to the best of our ability and good old-fashioned hard work.  Our driving mantra is that we will never sell a car that we would not, ourselves, want to buy.  Our standards have built our reputation and we are proud that our customers recommend us, trust us and come back to us when they want another car.
