As a Lotus owner, I have come to love the brand, and this year they celebrated their 70th anniversary with a huge event at the Lotus factory in Hethel, near Norwich.

The Volkswagen Audi Group (VAG) of cars has had a fan base all over the world for years now, with enthusiasts loving them in all shapes, sizes and ages. Here in Northern Ireland, I have been covering events for local VAG club, GTi NI, for longer than i care to recall and they never stop raising the bar and pushing standards higher.

Built car show, returning to Belfast’s Titanic Exhibition Centre for it’s second year, has garnered a well earned position in the annual motoring calendar in Northern Ireland.

When asked to think of the seaside, many will automatically recall the over-popular Port’s of the North Coast. However for many, the seaside and a good coastal drive, is one along the long meandering roads of the Irish Sea – me included.

There was no calm after the storm yesterday (Sunday 30 July) as Belfast city centre thundered once again, this time though it wasn’t from the clouds above, more from the plethora of performance cars that had entered the city.

The Ultimate Car & Truck Show has become an enduring favourite for car enthusiasts, raising a mountain of money for charity and now in its thirteenth year, moved to Lisburn for the first time.

The all-new Mini Magic, which for 2018 took place in Loughrea, County Galway, provided a playground for owners of road, rally and track Minis and – organised by WillPromotion – it received rave reviews from those who ventured in the rain.

BUILT on the success of last year’s inaugural event held at the Titanic Exhibition Centre in Belfast, the automotive extravaganza known as ‘BUILT Event’ is set to return on Sunday 12 August from 12pm-5.30pm.

There was a huge turnout to the Japanese Car Culture Show recently at the Eikon Centre near Lisburn, with an incredibly high standard of modern Japanese classics and performance cars on show.

Two weeks ago, the ‘West Strand’ in Portrush came alive to the sights and sounds of some of the finest models to wear a ‘blue oval’ and the ‘Causeway Coast Ford Fair’ is by far the largest car display event to be held in the popular seaside town each year.
