Subaru are renowned for four wheel drive vehicles that range from turbo charged petrol rally inspired saloon cars right up to the country gentleman’s diesel favourites that will accommodate a few buckets of meal for the herd or a shotgun and a couple of Spaniels.
From a young age, I have been a big fan of the Subaru brand, right from the time that Colin McRae rallied the Subaru Legacy, that infamous sound from the boxer engine echoing around the stages is a noise only bettered by some of the old Grip B rally cars.
It seems like only yesterday when the last WRX STI was sold in the UK amid an outcry of sentiment on the sad loss of this iconic model. Well last year that all changed with the launch at the start of the summer of the latest WRX STi model and at the end of last year Gormley Motors in Dungannon gave us the chance to drive one to see what we thought.
DubShed 2016 has come and gone in the blink of an eye, months of stress and preparations for the organisers and show goers alike is now stored in the minds of everyone and as such we are now able to sit back, dreary eyed after a long weekend and reflect on what the lads and ladies from GTI NI put together for us this year.
