Subaru are widely regarded as one of the best brands on the market to cope with a ‘country lifestyle’, as such you could likely count on just one hand the number of estates or farms throughout the country that don’t have one in the yard and we recently traveled to the Cotswold area for the launch and first drives of the 2017 Levorg.
The fact that most Subaru owners tend to keep their cars forever, is proof that the Japanese brand is doing something right by building cars that owners don’t feel the need to chop in for something new every couple of years as well as providing cars that are built to last.
We recently visited Rally School Ireland in Monaghan alongside Subaru NI and in the company of the fastest racing driver in Northern Ireland, Colin Turkington from Portadown. Colin kindly took time out of his hectic British Touring Car Championship schedule to give us a taste of what it’s like in a Subaru Levorg with the master at the helm.
From a young age, I have been a big fan of the Subaru brand, right from the time that Colin McRae rallied the Subaru Legacy, that infamous sound from the boxer engine echoing around the stages is a noise only bettered by some of the old Grip B rally cars.
