It has been some twenty years since Ford have made a Rallye Sport (aka – RS) model worthy of getting excited about, a model that’s roots stem back into the pinnacle of Ford’s rich motorsport heritage to incorporate four wheel drive.

For as long as I can remember Suzuki have offered the Swift model in their vast range of cars and if memory serves me correct the models from 20 or so years ago came in a faster, better handling package known at the Swift GTi.

The letters DS are something which most will relate to the Citroen brand of cars from the likes of the Citroen DS3 for example. However in recent years the letters DS have moved away from carrying the badge of Citroen and indeed the name completely as “DS Automobiles” now holds its own entity.

At the end of 2014 we covered the Fiat 500X which was launched to the media at the Balocco Proving ground in Italy, followed by our first test drives in the cars around the hills and villages surrounding Turin. Back then Fiat were incredibly excited about the car, and with right also as it was the first time the Italian marque has entered the crossover segment and they have come in with an awesome car and keen pricing.
