The Dealership has been in business over 50 years
How many staff do you have across your business?
We have a staff of 37
Generally how many cars do you have on site?
We have on site in excess of 60 cars
Do you specialise in a particular type of car?
Yes we hold franchises for Ford and Hyundai
Do you offer any other car services?
In addition to our car sales we also operate a vehicle service and repair workshop as well an accident repair centre.
What’s your most expensive car?
Currently on our books we have a 2016 Ford Mustang Fastback 5.0 v8 Auto in Race Red
What’s the most special car you have ever sold?
The most special car we have sold would have to be a Mercedes S600 LWB
What’s your best tip for someone looking for a car at the moment?
My tip for someone looking for a car at the minute would be to have a budget in mind, have an understanding of the type of vehicle they require be it a saloon, estate or 4×4. Manual or automatic and what level of specification they may want. I would also say to them consider a new car as a possibility as there is some fantastic offers from manufacturers with low rate finance, servicing and insurance deals incorporated into the offer. At present we have a great offer on an all new Hyundai i10 from as little as £137 deposit £137 per month. For those individuals looking something with a bit of power we are doing zero percent finance on the all new ford ranger pickup.
What would be your dream car and why?
My dream car would have to be the brand new Ford GT40 as I believe this vehicle is going to set some new standards in respect of overall build quality and performance and is a true icon for any motorsport fan. With its inaugural return to the the le mans 24 hours endurance race in June, there will be some interesting times ahead for this vehicle.
What is your favorite car movie?
My most favorite movie has to be gone in sixty seconds and of course the iconic Eleanor car.
What do you like to do when you’re not at work?
I am a very keen supporter of Manchester united and enjoy heading over to games when the opportunity arises. At home I am a very keen follower of international rugby, enjoy heading to the cinema, country walks and keeping myself fit by swimming as my working day can be long but thankfully enjoyable.
What is the key to your success?
My belief is that a business is only as good as the staff that operates it. Our aim at Monaghan Brothers. is to ensure our customers are 100% satisfied first time all the time but this can only be achieved by having a happy and fully functional staff who come to work happy and go home happy.
